Enjoying the Fall

On Sunday, Eric and I decided it was time to rake our yard for the 1st time this fall. Actually, it was the first time we'd ever had to rake. Every house/neighborhood we've lived in has been new, so there weren't ever any trees. We had to go buy a rake and leaf bags! So- we spent a couple of hours outside in the afternoon, raking/sweeping the leaves into piles and bagging them up. We made one huge leaf pile in the middle of the front yard for the kids to jump and play in while we cleaned up the rest of the yard. They had so much fun, as this was the first time they'd gotten to enjoy something like this. They couldn't get enough! I'm sure the whole neighborhood could hear their shrieks and giggles the whole time! We ended up bagging 9 bags full of leaves, and that won't even be close to all of them. There are still trees full of leaves in our yard, so we'll look forward to doing this one or two more times yet this fall!
