Manhattan has had A LOT of rain in the past couple of weeks! We had noticed in our drives back and forth to Wichita lately that there were quite a few flooded fields and overflowing creeks... Well- now it's happening only a block from our house. Our yard has a little water standing in it, but the worst of the flooding is along WildCat Creek... This creek runs along the back side of our development, and has now overtaken several yards along its route. Many back yards are now flooded... some people can only step onto their deck and not into their own yards. Our street has become somewhat of a local attraction, as we've had well over 50 or more cars through it to see all the flooding.
These first two were taken of the end of Fairman St- showing the water breeching the creek and overtaking a yard...
And these two show the same area 2 hours later, as the flooding went onto driveways, through the street and overflowing the storm drains.
