Friday in Dallas

Friday was a super busy day for us! First thing, we visited the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. It's the museum dedicated to JFK. It was my favorite thing we did the whole time we were on vacation. It was very informative and moving... and every time we drove past that building and Elm Street the rest of our time in Dallas, it made Eric and I both think about John F Kennedy's assassination and how we were driving the same street he was on at the time he was shot.

We then had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. The kids loved the TVs at the table that allowed us to vote for the next song to be played overhead and to see all the memorabilia at each of the different restaurants around the world. We even bought them standard Hard Rock shirts to show everyone where they'd been.

After lunch, it was time for the Museum of Nature and Science at Fair Park. It is very similar to Exploration Place in Wichita. The kids enjoyed all the hands-on activities, and the IMax theatre, where we watched a movie about coral reefs around the world.

Dinner and our evening activity were at the same place. We went to Studio Movie Grill. We were able to order and eat dinner while watching the movie G-Force. The kids thought this was great. It was like going to the Warren Theatre in downtown Wichita.... but we've never taken the kids there, so this kind of experience was new for them, making it all that much more exciting!

We finished off the night by heading to a TCBY then off to bed. It was such a busy yet very fun day!
