Fire Station Field Trip

Makena's Daisy Scout Troop took a field trip to a local fire station last week. I even got to bring Luke and Landon to take part in the fun. The fire fighters had them watch a video first. Then, they had them perform an exercise to learn to wake up when they smell smoke or hear the alarm, crawl under the smoke, feel the door to see if it's hot, and to go out the window if they can't use the door. They all did a great job! Then they got to watch a fire fighter put on his gear, then tour the inside of the fire truck and take a picture in front of it. It was a very fun and informative field trip for all the kids.
