Lighted Holiday Parade

Makena's Daisy Scout Troop participated in the Mayor's Lighted Holiday Parade on Friday. They rode in a trailer, and tried to stay bundled and warm, as the high in the daylight was in the low 30s. By dark, it was much cooler. Makena had on several layers (pictured below) so she wouldn't freeze. I traded kids with my friend Kirsten (the co-leader of the Daisy troop), so she took Makena and her daughter Chloe and walked with the kids in the parade and I took her son Luke. The boys, Eric and I sat inside Buffalo Wild Wings and stayed warm while enjoying a good meal. It was a cold, crazy night... Oh the things we do for our kids to earn a patch in scouts! :)
