2nd Grade Winter Party

Makena's class Winter Party was last Wednesday. I got there in time for most of the party. They decorated bags to look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and made a door hanger, decorated with foam stickers. Then, they split into 3 groups and rotated through game stations. They had a lot of fun with the games and got pretty hyper. After the games were finished, they each decorated their own holiday cupcake and had some other goodies to eat along with it. Many parents came around and passed out all sorts of other treats. Their bags were LOADED with sugar! It'll take us a long time to go through it all! Makena's teacher has been gone since before Thanksgiving after having a knee replacement. She stopped by the party, making all the kids very happy. They've missed her a lot! She'll hopefully be back full-time after the Christmas break. Makena will be one happy camper to have her back, although we've really enjoyed the substitute as well.
