Nana's Birthday

Eric's mom came for a visit this weekend. We took her to Makena's last basketball game and the banquet after. Then, we came home for some VERY YUMMY chocolate cake. Her birthday was a week ago, so we finally got to celebrate with her. The kids thought it was so fun to bake her a cake, and then light candles and sing to her. She said this was her only cake this year- so I feel very happy to have been able to do that for her. Living 2 hours away has some drawbacks, and one is that we're not "home" for anyone's birthdays. I am glad we only had to wait 1 week to help her celebrate her big day. We had a fun weekend with Nana. The kids really enjoyed cuddling on the couch, watching TV and movies with her. We don't get many chances to just hang out these days, so we took full advantage this weekend! Thanks for visiting Nana! We'll see you again soon!!!
