Fun Friday
Last Friday, we did 3 different craft/art projects. The kids painted watercolor pictures, then we poured salt on them to give them a textured feel. Then they made fingerprint animals/bugs by putting their fingers on stamp pads and making fingerprints, then using makers to draw the rest. And our final project was to wet half a piece of construction paper, then draw with chalk on them so the kids could see how different chalk drawing look when their wet as opposed to dry. We sprayed the chalk pictures with hairspray to make it so the chalk wouldn't rub off. They kids seemed to enjoy all the projects, but they really liked the afternoon activity best. We took a walk to Dairy Queen from our house (about a 10-minute walk) and got some nice, cold treats. They thought that was a fantastic idea- especially since it had rained and was a bit cooler on Friday than it had been in a long time. Great way to start our weekend!
