Dance Recital!!!

8 months of practicing the same dance over and over finally paid off! Makena participated in the Washington Dance Studio recital on Sunday. And she did a phenomenal job. She didn't miss a beat, and she smiled the whole way through. My parents and Eric's mom were able to attend the recital with us, and we all beamed with pride as she danced. With this being her first year in dance, she was terrified of being on stage in front of a packed auditorium. But after the dress rehearsal the day before, she was very calm, even excited. She sparkled on stage, and truly was our Dancing Queen (the song she danced to). I have posted the video I took during her tech week rehearsal, as videos weren't allowed during the actual recital. The pictures were all taken the day of the recital though. You can tell how well loved she was- just look at all the flowers she received!
