Play Ball!

Every weeknight, we can be found at one of the many ballparks across town, either at practice or a game. Landon is playing coach pitch baseball and has 1 game and 1 practice each week. Makena is playing kid pitch softball and has 2 games and 1 practice each week. Eric is Landon's head coach and one of Makena's assistant coaches. Therefore, he scheduled practices so they don't overlap with anything else, and somehow we lucked out to where none of their games are on the same nights or same times. This helps so Eric and I can be at all of both kids' games, but makes it to where every evening is a blur of dinner, getting dressed and heading out the door to a game or practice. Landon's team is the Mariners, and Makena's is the Athletics. So far, Landon has won all 3 of his games. Makena's team has lost 2 and won 3 (She's also had 1 game rained out twice!). We look forward to a few more weeks of this craziness, and then won't know quite what to do with our nights. :) I have been videotaping some of their at-bats, and will post them when the season is over.
