First Sleepover!

Makena hosted her first sleepover on Friday night. She and her friend Chloe had been begging for quite some time, so my friend Kirsten (Chloe's mom) and I finally caved. The boys threw such a fit that their sisters got to have a sleepover, that Kirsten volunteered to take Landon overnight while I had Chloe. About an hour before we were to swap kids, Luke came down with a fever... so we had to cancel the boys' night. The boys were very upset, and rightfully so.... so we promised to try this coming week for a boys' sleepover. (The pic below is of Landon, all bathed, packed and ready before we knew it wasn't going to happen.)

The girls had a great time doing each other's makeup and hair, letting me paint their finger & toe nails (each of Makena's nails are a different color... Chloe wanted a pattern of pink & red alternating), painting pictures with our paint dobbers, and watching a movie until they fell asleep (which was by about 10 pm- not too bad!). The girls said it was such a fun sleepover that they're already ready to do it again, next time at Chloe's house.
