Go Storm!

Makena had her first basketball game Saturday afternoon. Her team, the Storm, has 3 wonderful coaches, who really take the time to teach them the basics and make sure everyone understands the fundamentals of the game. We had a great time watching them play... it was really quite hilarious at times. Her team is comprised of 1st and 2nd graders, most of whom have not played before this year. Makena is by far the smallest player on the team, earning her a point guard position. She doesn't yet have the strength to make many baskets but is getting to be a good little dribbler. We look forward to cheering her on over the next several weeks!
