New Year's Eve / New Year's Day
Once again, this wasn't some drunk fest or crazy night like most people probably had... but it sure was fun! Eric's brother, his wife and their kids came to Manhattan for the night. Eric grilled us some yummy steak/shrimp/pepper/onion kabobs for dinner. I made cookie/brownies for dessert (the box had both mixes in it, and you bake them together!). The 3 older kids had a sleepover in the playroom... and the adults drank, played MindFlex (pics below- you wear a headset and try to concentrate on moving a ball through an obstacle course) and Scattergories and watched Inception (very interesting movie). In the morning, the kids were up about 8:30 and we had a great breakfast and lunch with the inlaws before they drove back to Wichita. The kids had a wonderful time playing together, and the adults actually got to chat and catch up (something we hardly had time for over Christmas!). Happy New Year everyone!
