First, they made french toast butterflies (Landon's holding his plate upside down.). Cut french toast diagonally, and arrange like butterfly wings. Use sausage links to create antennae & body. One option is to spread peanut butter over the top and sprinkle with raisins or other decoration. Then pour syrup or agave nectar and eat!
Then, they made banana roll-ups. They used wheat tortillas, and spread peanut butter over most of surface. Then, they sprinkled granola and dried fruit over top. (Makena did this next step wrong.) Then they put the whole banana in the middle and rolled the tortilla around it. YUMMY!
The last (and favorite thing) was to make a school bus. They each used 5 Twinkies (NOT HEALTHY AT ALL!) and stacked 4 for the body of the bus, and used 1 (trimmed a bit off one end) for the front. They frosted all over the outside with yellow frosting, then added licorice for windows & windshield wipers and M&M's for lights & heads in bus. They then cut chocolate donuts in half for the wheels. What a cute idea!
I'm so making that school bus when Mason gets older....now if only I can remember!
ReplyDeleteI know! Yummy, right? The kids have been having little pieces for dessert the last couple of days. They thought it was such a cool idea!
