We bought a house!

Yesterday was a whirlwind of excitement in the Chippeaux household. We looked at a house here on the west side of Manhattan yesterday morning. We spent a long time there and the kids didn't want to leave. Before we left, we knew we wanted to put in an offer on the house. It's a great house for us and has lots of potential for us to put our own mark on it while we're there. We put in an official offer at lunchtime and received a call last evening that it was accepted. The realtor brought all the signed papers last night. Pending inspection in the next week or so, we will close on July 15 and move between then and July 31 (that's when our lease is up here at the duplex). I will take a pic of the front of the new house and get it posted soon. We're hoping to go back a few times and take measurements (and photos). It is in a different school zone than the one we have been in this year so it's still up in the air if Makena will go to Lee or switch schools in the fall. Anyway- we are so excited to get moved in and start with our small projects!!
